Evergreen is releasing the "Edifier E1100" speakers today, which remind me like the heads of one of the creatures in Aliens. Anyway, these 2.1ch speakers are made by Edifier, have a maximum output of 4.5W apiece, and look pretty cool.

Evergreen's latest "almost-portable" DVD player is the 5,980 yen "EG-D2340X." It supports all of your standard CD and DVD media types, but can also handle the playback of multimedia files like DivX, MPEG-1/2, JPEG, MP3, and WMA. It also has an integrated NTSC/PAL converter, so Europeans/South Americans may also take interest in this one.

Evergreen continues with the onslaught of products this week, this time bringing out what I believe is a first: a portable player to support mp3PRO.Of course I've never actually heard of/seen mp3PRO being used anywhere, so let me know how useful such a feature really is.
Here's a nice idea from Evergreen -- instead of just wasting the space provided by a label on a CompactFlash card, they've decided to put some graphs on the cards as labels. Available graphs are Suitable Exposure, White Balance Quick Reference, and Pixel Count/Print Size.
I'm not so sure how useful these would be if you had to remove them from your camera to look at the graphs, but I guess they expect you to collect all three.
"Screw post-processing, let's just record directly to XviD!" must have been what Evergreen said as they decided to release this product. At under $200 USD, the DN-DV320 could very well be an extremely low cost way to break into online video for your website.
Evergreen has released four new high-speed SD memory cards in 256MB to 2GB sizes. These aren't just ordinary SD memory cards though, no sirree Bob! The sticker on the front of each card mimics the design of a popular Japanese good-luck charm making them the perfect gift for an expectant mother or your parent's silver wedding anniversary.
Evergreen has a new low-budget portable DVD player coming out with support for DivX, XviD, and all that good stuff. I feel like I've covered just about enough of these things, so this may be the last year hear from us about low-budget portable DVD players unless there's some gigantic announcement.
Here's a blazingly cheap portable DVD player from Evergreen, featuring DivX and XviD playback. And since Evergreen makes it, you know it's a quality product. Not.
Now, I know I'm not the only person who was patiently waiting for a company to announce this product.
You guessed it; it's the first portable DVD/CD player to support the playback of MP3s. Yes, that means you can play all 4.7GB of MP3s from a single DVD. It also functions as a normal DVD player, so you get that added value. And it costs 12,800 yen (like $110 USD).
One thing I don't like is the absolutely abysmal battery life. only 8 hours of CD playback, and 1 hour of DVD playback. Ouch. More details inside.
Two new DVD players from Evergreen today, the "D900SX" and the "EG-D2400AU." While both support DivX and XviD playback, and should cost around 10,000 yen (about $95 USD), the players vary in form factor and "special features." More details on these low-cost, highly functional players inside.
