Topic: NHJ
The new items published under this topic are as follows.
The budget digital camera/portable audio player maker NHJ has filed for bankruptcy. Where am I going to get my pink Hello Kitty SD cards now???
Adding to their existing line of Hello Kitty products, NHJ introduces 128MB and 256MB Hello Kitty SD cards. The 256MB version is probably the only pink SD card I've ever seen, so if you're into that sort of thing, read up.
NHJ has releaed a new MP3/WMA player with some great features - the obligatory organic EL display, variable speed playback and programmable MP3 encoding and recording. Unfortunately, they've ruined what could have been a decent product by including a slide cover for the controls. According to NHJ, the cover contributes to the simple and refined design. The downside is, whenever you need to use a control under the cover, you'll have to open the cover first. And with this player from NHJ, that will be often, as all of the controls are under the damn cover!
I have no idea who "Realmadrid" is, but it looks like a soccer (football) team. And I don't understand their relationship with NHJ, so I'm in a wacky world of misunderstanding. But yeah, here's the new "Realmadrid" pda-ish mp3 player from NHJ, and it has a nice looking color screen. It also plays OGG, if you swing that way.
A new portable digital audio player from NHJ, with 256MB of internal memory and a SD card slot. It also has five "panels" so you can customize the look of the player to suit your headphones, shoes, or whatever it is that you'd like it to match.
I don't know who in their right mind would pay 59,800 yen for a product from NHJ, but they've got a new video camera out that features an internal 2GB hard drive. Given the camera's other specifications, I personally think there's a typo. No way is this camera worth even close to 59,800 yen.
As an interesting "NHJ-esque" feature, the camera doubles as a removable hard drive. More details inside.
Here's two cheapass new cameras from NHJ, and they can both record MPEG-4 at 640 x 480. You get what you pay for, as always, in that they can only record at 12 frames per second at this resolution.
But whatever, here they are.
NHJ will begin sales of the "D'zign DZ-300", a digital camera with a 3.14 megapixel CMOS image sensor, from 30 October. The camera will be sold exclusively at retail outlets of the Aeon supermarket chain at a price of 12,800 yen.
Fully featured in that it has:
-Up to a 512MB capacity
-a full color LCD with JPEG support
-OGG playback, which is a personal preference
-"ICE Breaking" and "Die Hard" built-in games
-Phonebook and calculator
This includes, but is not limited to:
-MPEG-4 video camera with a 2GB capacity
-5MP digital camera
-New products in the ultra-small "Che-ez!" camera series
-1" HD audio player
-new V@MP prodcuts
The specifications list both DivX 4 and 5 as being supported playback formats. It can also record to MPEG-4.
I like the 60GB capacity...most other portable players I've seen have only had 20GB or so. It's even got S-Video output, which is nice.
NHJ feeds the young Japanese male interest to "get the largest, most feature-filled watch available, regardless of the cost" with their new TV watch that is 45.7mm (1.79 inches) wide by 49.4 (1.94 inches) tall. Can you imagine wearing something like that on your wrist? I sure can't...It's also 18.2mm (.75 inches) thick.
Anyway, more information and a picture inside.
NH Japan (part of the Harilela Group, a family of hotel owners...don't ask me how NHJ got involved) will be releasing 4 different MP3/WMA/OGG players in the V@MP iOPS-F300 series - 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, and 1024mb versions of the player with an organic EL display.
