Topic: Casio
The new items published under this topic are as follows.
Casio's "GPR-100" watch is the world's smallest and lightest watch to include a GPS receiver. Details inside.
I have two more digital camera announcements to do tonight, but I'll be doing both of them "summary" style. First up is the EX-Z850, Casio's successor to the EX-Z750.
A new dictionary from Casio, the XD-ST6200, will solve your communication problems in most parts of the world with its text-to-speech function for six languages. Other features include 100 installed content sources and a choice of three body colors.
Casio's new Exilim EX-S600 has a thickness of only 16.1mm (0.63 inches), and features "Resurrection Shot." When you take a picture of a dead person, they'll come back to life.Or it's just their name for a feature that will enhance picture quality through trapezoid correction, print matching, and so on.
This sort of already happened with NEC's "SoundVu" feature (which uses NXT's technology), but Casio has announced a 2.5" LCD module that features an integrated speaker. Of course it's a tad different -- NXT's technology is all about vibrating the LCD itself (thus creating sound), while this Casio offering places a ceramic speaker behind the LCD.
It may only be September, but it's not too early for Japanese to prepare for their yearly task -- writing "nengajyo" to basically everyone they know. In a nutshell, "nengajyou" are postcards you send to others with messages on them such as "we're all doing fine" and "hope you have a good year." In America, a lot of people send Christmas cards to each other; this is the same concept, except without all the religious undertones. So, as you'd expect, basically every Japanese family sends at least one card to someone else.No tradition can escape the grasp of technology in Japan. Casio has announced a new post card printer that features a 3.6" color LCD and keyboard, specifically for printing out customized post cards, all without the use of a PC.
Like the Evangelion iPod announced on Tuesday, Bandai is releasing an "Ultraman Edition" of the Exilim Zoom EX-Z55.
Casio has added a megapixel to the "R51" released in January, and the new "Exilim Engine" promising faster startup times and longer battery life.
Well, that's nice. This means you could use your watch to pay for basically anything that you can pay with a credit card...and there's even more potential.
