Greenhouse will release two new peripherals that are a perfect match for the Mac mini in early December - the "GH-MM-204SP" amplified speaker system and the "GM-MM-WF" external subwoofer system. Both products will retail for just under 10,000 yen.

A measly 1,980 yen for Green House's new folding speaker shaped like a mobile phone. It gets a somewhat-shabby 8 hour battery life from three AAAs as well.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this sort of thing somewhere else, but oh well. Here's the "DISPY 2," a burner for taking digital camera images from memory cards and plopping them on a CD-R/RW. All without the use of a PC.

Another feature of the unit is support for playback of a few different media formats, such as MP3, MPEG-1/2, and JPEG.

My apologies for last week. TechJapan is back in business this week, and hopefully every week from here on out. Though the main problem I had was with school, TechJapan's sister site, PSP-Vault, literally exploded with popularity. That being said, TechJapan always has been and always will be my home.

So here we are again, reporting on a new USB flash memory unit from Green House with a burning-up-your-USB-port 27MB/sec transfer speed. Even at this stick's largest capacity, 2GB, it would take about 75 seconds to read. Not bad!

It becomes increasingly difficult for me to continue posting every new MP3 player that comes out, and I think I'm sort giving up. But hell, here's another.

Coming up with cheap products seems to the new "thing" for Japan, as Green House this week introduces the "GH-PDV700." It's a portable DVD player, but offers quite a bit of bang for the buck -- a 7" LCD and 2.5 hour battery life for 24,800 yen.

In a refreshing departure from the traditional "finger-shaped" USB memory devices, here's a "card-shaped" USB memory device from Green House.

It's only 4mm thick -- that's 0.15 inches! THIN. Available in 128MB, 256MB, and 512MB capacities. You can also customize the crap out of them thanks to Green House's "Name Service" -- this includes custom messages, designs, and even custom body colors.

Here's a SD memory card reader that also doubles as an MP3 player. Why? I don't know.

If you're so much into cats that you need an LCD shaped like one, I suggest you get a dog as soon as possible. They are, after all, better.

I can't say I've ever seen a monitor need an AC adapter (well an external one) to run, but whatever.
Hell, I guess they don't call their company "Green House" for nothin'.

I know of no devices in the USA that use miniSD, so this doesn't really apply to anyone. But hey, it happened, so I'm reporting on it!

I reported on Corega's 45x CF cards not even a week ago, and Green House today answers back with 80x cards.
12MB/sec. Sheesh. They go up to 6GB capacities as well.

Considering the size of this player, an internal speaker is pretty impressive. It's like a boombox, except 500 times smaller!

With a 4GB Microdrive, I can understand. But a 1GB SD card? Where does all the information go? SD is... small. Real small.
