From SolidAlliance comes the "GhostRadar USB Memory," a USB memory device with integrated ghost detecting features. The two have nothing to do with one another, but that's fine by me. Since when did SolidAlliance produce products that actually make sense anyway? SolidAlliance Corporation released the "GhostRadar USB Memory" on April 1st, a USB 2.0 supporting memory with ghost detection functionality. It supports Windows ME, 2000 and XP, as well as Mac OS 9.0 or above. It is listed at Open Price, but for a 128MB it is about 9,800 yen, a 256MB model 14,800 yen, and a 512MB model 19,800 yen. This is USB flash memory with a ghost detection technology handled by AKKORD International, an electronic brain group from Hong Kong. It contains a magnetic field sensor and bodily sensor, said to detect the minute changes in surrounding emitted by paranormal beings. The unit also contains a biological clock, so it can also make judgements based on time. When a ghost is detected, a certain pattern of LEDs will be shone on the front of the unit. A mode button is on the front of the unit, and up to 6 modes are selectable. Black and white body colors will be available. The unit measures 58 x 20 x 90mm (W x D x H), and weighs about 37g. Though it can be powered for about 10 hours from a CR2032 button type battery, this life can be expanded to 20 hours by placing a battery of the same type in the expansion slot. A USB cable and drivers are included. With the release of this product, SolidAlliance also plans on establishing a "GhostRadar" homepage, where users can submit their discoveries and create a sort of "ghost map" in real time.
