I have no idea who "Realmadrid" is, but it looks like a soccer (football) team. And I don't understand their relationship with NHJ, so I'm in a wacky world of misunderstanding. But yeah, here's the new "Realmadrid" pda-ish mp3 player from NHJ, and it has a nice looking color screen. It also plays OGG, if you swing that way.

NHJ Corporation will release the "v@mp VP-325RM," a digital audio player with a "Realmadrid" Spanish soccer team design motif, in March. Estimated to cost around 19,800 yen. In addition to standard outlets, it will also be sold at vendors of sports equipment.

This model was created as a result of NHJ securing an exclusive sub-license contract with Realmadrid C.F. for the sale and production of branded digitial audio players in Japan.

Built on the base of the "v@mp VP-325" MP3/WMA/OGG Vorbis player with a color screen released in July of 2004, this new model adds a Realmadrid logo to the reverse of the body, and has some other design changes.

As an added bonus, when the player is connected to a power source, images of certain players will be shown -- a slideshow displaying pictures of the players will also play while playing music. Also included is a photo frame with the Realmadrid logo, as well as a carrying case with their logo.

Hardware specifications remain the same as the VP-325, including the 256MB of internal memory. The 4096 color 1.9" STN LCD can display ID3 tag and JPEG files. Supported audio formats include MP3, WMA, and OGG Vorbis, at most normal bitrates. Also available is an equalizer with standard settings.

The player connects with USB 1.1, under the Storage class. It also has encoding functionality into MP3, WMA, and OGG, and can record crap from the microphone or internal FM tuner.

Also available are some sorry games you probably won't ever play, a stopwatch, phone book, and calculator. The lithium polymer battery offers up a continuous playback time of about 15 hours. Recharging takes about 3 hours by USB. The dimensions are 44 x 16 x 72mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 53g.
