A Taito classic recreated in 3D for your FOMA 900i/901i mobile phone.
Taito Corporation has begun offering "CHASE H.Q. 3D" on their "Keitai G@me Park" i-Mode game site, on January 20th. The cost, for a month of usage of the site, is 315 yen. Supported handsets are FOMA 900i/901i series.
"CHASE H.Q. 3D," taking after "CHASE H.Q." released in arcades in 1988, is a remake with high quality graphics and stages set on highways at night and warehouse streets. Of course, "This is Nancy at Chase HQ, we've got a problem here, guys" is also flawlessly reproduced.
The player, while travelling down the highway, receives orders from CHASE H.Q, upon whence they receive orders to chase down escaping targets, and the pursuit begins. In a specified time period, the player must chase down the target whilst avoiding the vehicles of ordinary drivers, and can clear the mission by forcing the target to stop by ramming them. A boost that can be used up to three times per stage is the key to capture.
Also, apart from the story, a "Patrol Mode" allowing for long patrol sessions has been added. This mode allows for leisurely driving down the road while avoiding contact with other drivers.
