Another Bluetooth MP3 player, this time from the (South) Koreans. Aiwa released a similar product back in December [1].
Pegaso's online shop, "VIBONE," will release the "VIODIO" (VMP407) MP3 player developed by Korea's SEECODE with integrated Bluetooth functionality on February 10th. The price is 31,500 yen.
The player supports Bluetooth v1.1 Hands-Free Profile and the Headset Profile. When used with a mobile phone containing Bluetooth, it will quickly switch from playing music on the headphones to a Bluetooth earphone mic. Operated by using only the player, the unit allows for hands-free communication. When talking is completed, it will automatically switch back to the player, and music playback will resume. During a call, the opposite party's phone number can also be displayed on the player's LCD.
Supported handsets include au's "A5504T," "W21T," NTT DoCoMo's "F900iT," Vodafone's "902SH," "802SE," "802SH," "702NK," and Nokia's "6650" and "7600."
It has 256MB of internal memory. It can play MP3 and WMA audio, and contains a MP3 direct recording function. Voice recording functionality is also included, using either the internal FM tuner or microphone. A lithium ion battery is used for power. With charging for about 3 hours, it can power the player for roughly 15 hours of playback.
