Sharp will have a new electronic dictionary available in January, and it features a smashing 400 hour battery life. So when will laptops start having something like this?
Sharp Corporation will release the "PW-M100" compact electronic dictionary with a 400 hour battery life, on January 21st, 2005. Its price is 15,750 yen.
This is an electronic dictionary with a battery life of approximately 400 hours from a single AAA battery. This is the longest battery life of any of the company's products. The body size is 125 x 79.4 x 14.7 ~ 16.7mm (W x D x H), and it weighs 146g (including battery). It features a 159 x 80 dot FSTN LCD.
It contains 15 contents: six Japanese related, two English related, two health related, three living related, and two business/travel English related. Furthermore, it contains features such as a function to change the character size from 9, 12, 24, or 48 dots with a single touch, a function to search multiple contents at the same time, and a function to populate the screen with results as characters are entered into the search.
