Here's a Gigabit LAN adapter from Buffalo, that plugs right into your USB (2.0) port. Buffalo will release the "LUA-U2-GT," a USB 2.0 LAN adapter supporting Gigabit Ethernet, in late January 2005. The price will be around 6850 yen. The LUA-U2-GT is a LAN adapter supporting 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T networks, which connects to a PC's USB 2.0 port. It represents Buffalo's first domestic product supporting USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. It also supports Jumbo Frame, meaning the data transfer size can be expanded to 4,088 bytes. The main unit's size is 41 x 17.4 x 79.3mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 121g. Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, 2000 Server, and XP. The "LUA Navigater" utility software and a 90 day version of Trend Micro's "Virus Buster" are included.
