The second item today from the Rare Mono Shop is a USB ashtray, which Thanko themselves has called "somewhat practical."

Sometimes you've got to wonder what the hell is going o­n over there. Do these guys just release their products as a joke, or what? Even SolidAlliance [1] is more serious than Thanko.

Thanko has released the "USB Ashtray," an ashtray that operates off of USB bus power. The price is 2,980 yen.

The USB ashtray, which contains a fan that is powered by connection with a USB port, inhales the smoke from cigarettes. It includes two 1cm activated charcoal filters. Alternatively, the unit can be powered by two AAA batteries.

The size of the unit is 170 x 170 x 90mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 460g. A 150cm USB cable is included.

Christmas wrapping services are also available, in green and red paper colorings. The price for o­ne wrapping is 210 yen.
