I've kept a watchful eye on these "headphones with integrated MP3 player" deals, and some of them have been pretty cool. one thing they've always been missing, though, is some sort of display to show you what song it is that you're listening to, and so forth.

But that's not the case anymore. Thanko introduced on their "Rare Mono Shop" the "MUBIE JOGGER Sport MP3 Player" today, and it's got an LED display.

On second thought, a screen on your headphones might be pretty useless

Thanko Limited will release the "MUBIE JOGGER Sport MP3 Player," a headphone-style MP3 player with an LED display, on their direct sale "Rare Mono Shop." The release date is December 12th, and the headphones will be available for a price of 24,980 yen.

A 94 x 64 dot LED is equipped on the housing part, and it supports the display of Japanese. It can also display ID3 tags. Furthermore, it furnishes a 5 mode equalizer with modes such as "Normal" and "Rock."

FM radio and voice recording functionality, as well as line-in recording using the MP3 format, are available. Connection with a PC is done by USB.
