With a 4GB Microdrive, I can understand. But a 1GB SD card? Where does all the information go? SD is... small. Real small.
Green House Corporation will put the SD memory card series, "GH-SDC" on sale during the latter part of January. They are listed as Open Price.
The product at the top of the series has a capacity of 1GB - which is the first time seen in a manufactured product. Previously, the lineup consisted of 512, 256, 128, 64, and 32 MB models.
[1]At the current time, we do not know what the price is expected to be. The previous model prices are 29,800 yen, 12,300 yen, 6,980 yen, 4,280 yen, and 2,380 yen.
All of the products conform to the SD Memory Card Specification Ver 1.0 and SDMI standards. The maximum transfer rate is 5MB/s. It operates on a voltage of 2.7-3.6V, with a power consumption of 80mA(max). The card will operate in temperatures from -25 to +85 degrees celsius, in 25%-95% humidity.
