Seiko Epson will release a limited-edition colour model of their "Colorio me:" direct printer, the "Colorio me: Pink" (E-100P) on 12 November. Only 7000 units will be available.
You may remember that TechJapan reported on the E-100, which was designed by an all-female project tearm, a few months ago.

Seiko Epson will release a limited-edition colour model of their "Colorio me:" direct printer, the "Colorio me: Pink" (E-100P) on 12 November. 7000 units will be available at an estimated street price of approximately 22,000 yen.
The E-100P is a limited-edition colour version of the E-100 inkjet printer which went on sale in April. Apart from the colour, all other specifications remain unchanged. Supported operating systems are Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.
Capable of postcard-size prints and weighing 2.7 kg, the E-100P can print directly from a digital camera connected via an included USB cable. It uses 6-colour "PX-E" ink based on that for the PX-G900 printer. Resolution is 2880 x 1440 dpi and inkdrop size is 2 picolitres.
In anticipation of the year-end sales war, special "Christmas wrapping Box" packaging has also been prepared for the E-100 and E-100P.
Epson has also begun a "Pink Photo Lifestyle!" campaign in conjunction with the release of the E-100P. During the campaign period, customers who purchase the E-100 or E-100P will be eligible to enter the draw for one of 10 Seiko LUKIA watch or 500 sets of "Pink Photo Lifestyle!" goods. The campaign runs from 12 November 2004 to 15 January 2005.
The E-100 was developed as an internal project by a team of female Epson employees, "Team8". Since going on sale, it has "been popular with a wide range of customers, not just females". The pink colour of the limited-edition model was chosen to "appeal to female customer's sense of style" with the aim of attracting more female customers in the year-end sales war.
