iHP-140: 0 Being wasted: 1

Victim: Mr. KAWA of Kanagawa Prefecture
Scene of Accident: My house (maybe)
Broken Item: iRiver iHP-140
Details of Accident: This happened on the day we have a drinking party for my workplace. I went to the party wearing my iHP-140 attached to my belt at the hip as I always do (a cover is included for attaching it to your belt). Although you normally get pretty woozy when you drink, I had an extremely bad premonition about going to a drinking party with a mobile device attached to my belt.
The fun at the drinking party had more or less come to a close, so I went on my way to going home. Then, I just changed and went to sleep. ....or at least that's what I remember when I woke up in the morning. But, when I looked at my iHP-140 when going to work, there was some weird pattern on the LCD!! It took me no time to realize that it had been damaged.
When going back through what happened after I left work, I had some vague memories of taking a nasty spill when I got home that night. So it seems like it happened right then. A box of tissue paper (Kleenex) got smushed right where I fell.
While I had put it in the protective cover to prevent damage, and it might be a little hard to see from the pictures, but it appears that something sharp went right through the cover and into the LCD screen. So, it looks like the cause would have been me falling, but to this day I'm not entirely sure what happened.
Damage Amount: I think normally, you would buy another one, but: -There is was effect to audio playback -Display of MP3 files and such is on the included remote controller's LCD For these two reasons, I intend to keep on using it as-is.
More From the Contributor: Mobile devices are strictly prohibited when you're wasted! I was forced to understand this by having it driven deeply into my mind. But for some reason, my cell phone (F900i) also attached to the belt is fine. Cellular phones have a long history, which because of the strength testing alone, makes them less susceptible to damage.
