What notebook PC speakers would be complete without a blue LED somewhere o­n them?

Solid Alliance Corporation will release the "Nita" USB speakers from Taiwan's OZAKI, which can not o­nly attach to the top part of a notebook PC's display, they can playback virtual 5.1ch surround sound. o­n the company's direct sale site, "SA Store," the speakers cost 6,904 yen (the "ROCK SPIRIT" price). Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, and XP.

These USB speakers have external dimensions of 194 x 25 x 40mm (W x D x H), and an approximate weight of 150g - they are small USB speakers. Containing two 25mm diameter units, the speakers can be attached to the top part of a notebook PC's LCD. Using the included flexible USB connection cable, the speakers operate as USB audio.

Furthermore, the speakers support virtual 5.1ch surround with use of the included software. 22 surround patterns are included, ranging from general settings such as "playing field" and "hall" to more unique offerings such as "stone room," "forest," "underwater," "carpeted hall," dragstrip," and even "vertigo."

Power is supplied by the USB port, and 2 3W amps are featured. The virtual surround is said to be able to be experienced within 2-4m².
