So sayeth Sanyo. AA and AAA sizes.
Sanyo Electronics Corporation has commercialized, and will release new NiMH batteries on August 1st, which use a new electrode ingredient called "superlattice alloy."
The superlattice alloy developed by Sanyo for negative charge ingredients, using existing NiMH, has a 25% greater capacity and increased resistance to lower temperatures. The result is the "Ni-MH 2500" series of AA batteries with Typ. 2,500mAh/Min. 2,300, and the AAA "Ni-MH 900" series of AAA batteries with Typ. 900mAh/Min. 840mAh. According to Sanyo, this is the highest capacity of NiMH battery currently on the market.
Prices are 1,155 yen for a two pack of Ni-MH 2500, 2,310 yen for a four pack, and 945 yen and 1,890 yen for two and four packs of Ni-MH 900. A quick charging station, the "NC-M57," will be available for 4,830 yen, and a quick charging station with a memory refresh function, the "NC-MR57," will be available for 6,615 yen.
