I don't remember if I reported on this when it first came up about a month and a half ago, but Fujitsu filed a lawsuit against Samsung SDI, claiming that they had infringed on some of Fujitsu's plasma display panel (PDP) patents, and even sought to prevent Samsung from importing their PDP products into Japan. Well anyway, they've apparently reached a settlement. Unfortunately they're not telling us what the terms of the settlement are. Oh, the suspense! Still, since the ban on Samsung's PDP importation to Japan has been lifted, we can assume it's not that bad for them.
Samsung SDI of Korea and Fujitsu Corporation announced that they have agreed on a settlement regarding a lawsuit relating to patents of plasma display panels (PDPs).
Accompanying this, allegations of lawsuits in both Japan and America, as well as the suspension of PDP products into Japan, have been withdrawn. Both companies commented by saying, "We welcome the ability to settle at an early stage."
About the conditions of the settlement, however, Fujitsu has said, "under the duty of confidentiality, no comment."
