Remember those small speakers that came with the Rio SU40 [1]? Well, they're going to be sold individually now. Rio Japan is also adding a white color to the lineup.
Rio Japan will release the "Rio LIVE mini" 2.1ch speakers with an internal subwoofer on June 12th. The price is Open Price, but on Rio Japan's direct sale site, "Rio eStore," the price is 3,980 yen.
These are individually sold models of the speakers that came with the MP3/WMA player released on April 30th. While the Rio SU40 came in silver, black, and red, a white color has been added, making for a total of four available colors.
As an audio input, a stereo mini jack is furnished. They have two gum-shaped internal NiMH batteries, and can play continuously for about 8 hours. An AC adapter and USB cable are included, and power can be supplied to the speakers when connected to a PC's USB port.
The rated output, when using an external power source, is 250mW x 2ch, and the subwoofer's output is 360mW. When using the batteries, it is 45mW x 2ch, and the subwoofer is 100mW. The external dimensions are 86.4 x 27 x 33.5mm (W x D x H). Including the batteries, they weigh 100g.
