Fujitsu (Hiroaki Kurokawa CEO) kicked off the sale of the new model Blade type server. The first shipping day is planned for May 27th. The price is set at 460,000 yen for a blade, and 860,000 yen for a chassis.I personally had the chance to see an older model of these blade servers in a business last year. It's amazing how much rack space you can save by using these things.
Fujitsu (Hiroaki Kurokawa CEO) kicked off the sale of the new model Blade type server "BX600" of the IA (Intel Architecture) Server series "PMIMERGY". The first shipping day is planned for May 27th. The price is set at 460,000 yen for a blade, and 860,000 yen for a chassis.
The "BX600" has an Intel Xeon 3.2Ghz Processor, and is intended for basic busienss use as an application or data server. Maximum 10 blade servers can be loaded into the 7U Chasis.
All units support redundancy and 3.5 inch SCSI harddisks, ensuring reliability.In addition, by utilizing the installation support software, the OS and Applications can be installed at once reducing the costs required in setting up a single blade server.
