I was under the impression that Microsoft Japan only released products originally released in the USA, just because of the nature of the company. This announcement, however, has caused me to think otherwise. I've looked through the Microsoft USA site, and didn't see any mention of either of these products. Maybe I just missed something, but even Google didn't find any English results.
Microsoft Japan pulls a "Panasonic" and is introducing two colors you really wouldn't expect to see on a Microsoft product - they're releasing "Night Vision Green" and "Groovy Orange" on a Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer, and Wireless Optical Mouse, respectively.

UPDATE: Microsoft has announced that these mice will be available in the USA [1].

Microsoft (Corp.) has announced two new products: the first is a "Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer Night Vision Green," a new wireless mouse with 5 buttons and a "tilt wheel" for scrolling left and right as well as up and down, and the second is the "Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Groovy Orange," a 3 button mouse with retro design reminiscent of the 1970s. The planned release for both of the mice is April 23rd, with the estimated retail price of the "Night Vision Green" to be 6800 yen [2], and the "Groovy Orange" for 5800 yen [3].

The "Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer Night Vision Green" is a "cyber-design" version of the wireless optical mouse, the "Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer" release on October 6th, 2003. one special feature of the mouse is the "In-Mold Design" which encases the pattern inside a layer of pressure sensitive acrylic to allow the design to last for a long time even with frequent friction.

As far as mouse functions are concerned, this one is more or less the same as the last model - the 27MHz digital wireless system, and the ability to be place 1.8m from the receiver. Included is a "smart receiver" which can report on battery and reception conditions. The life a the batteries is about 6 months. The commands of the 5 buttons can also be customized. Supported equipment is PC/AT compatible, PC98-NX, and Macintosh, with PS/2 and USB interfaces. Supported operating systems are Windows XP, 2000 Professional, and Mac OS X 10.1 ~ 10.2.x.

The "Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Groovy Orange" is essentially just a brilliantly colored version of the 3-button "Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse" release October 6th, 2003, with a retro design and 1970s image. The functions are the same, besides the number of buttons. Supported operating systems are also the same.
