NTT DoCoMo has announced the release date of the "SH900i" from Sharp; it's the fourth phone to be released in the 900i series.

NTT DoCoMo will release the "SH900i," the fourth phone in the FOMA 900i series, o­n March 20th. The phone is made by Sharp, and features a 2MP camera with an auto-focus function.

The "SH900i" is a FOMA phone from Sharp that features a 2MP CCD camera with auto-focus (AF) function. It supports focusing while adjoining pictures, and has a maximum resolution of 1224 x 1632 dots. Also, as a sub-camera for use during TV phone and such, there is a .1MP CMOS camera below the main display.

The main display is a 320 x 240 dot, 2.4 inch, 262,144 color TFT LCD. The sub display is a 160 x 120, 1.2 inch, 65,536 color TFT LCD. The phone is also equipped with a miniSD card slot.

The "Document Viewer" function, which can allow o­ne to view Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF files saved o­n the miniSD card, is also included. Various functions, such as magnification/reduction, rotation, and auto-scroll are usable, and the data can be sent as an image i-Mode mail.

Another function of the phone is the voice recorder. Even when the phone is closed, o­ne can record using the sub-mic o­n the back side of the screen. The recording format for the audio is MP4, which can be saved as audio-only i-Motion data, and be sent as a mail attachment. Using the 16MB miniSD card that comes included in the SH900i package, a maximum of 2 hours can be stored.

Also, video recorded o­n AQUOS TVs to the miniSD card can be played back o­n the phone, with features such as resume.

The continuous talk time is 140 minutes, and the continuous idle time is 380 hours. Continuous TV phone time is 90 minutes. The size of the phone is 105 x 51 x 26mm (H x W x T), and the weight is 132g. There are three body colors in the lineup: silver, red, and blue.
