Logitec (not to be confused with the American "Logitech," whose Japanese subsidiary is named "Logicool") will release a portable 4" LCD screen, capable of VGA resolutions.

Logitec Corporation will release the 4" LCD portable display capable of displaying VGA (640 x 480) resolutions in the first part of April. The product code will be "LCM-T042AS," it though it is officially listed as Open Price, indicators suggest it should cost around 50,000 yen.

The main body size is 137 x 132 x 39mm (W x D x H, when folded), and weighing only 600g, this makes for a small and portable display.

[1]This is a sucessor to the "LCM-T041AS," which has the same display capabilities. What has been added, however, is the pedastal that comes with the screen. It can now be folded into the pedastal, as well as rotated in all four directions. Also, the OSD menu is now available in Japanese, and it can be hung on a wall.

The main uses are for maintenance/inspection portable monitors, server status monitors, second monitors, hangable monitors, and presentation monitors.

The LCD panel uses low temperature polysilicon. The maximum color display is 260,000 and the response rate is 100ms. It is viewable from 30 degree vertical, and 60 degree horizontal angles. Brightness is at 140cd/m2, and the contrast ratio is 250:1.

Connection is via a D-sub 15 pin interface. There are two holes on the bottom of the pedastal for hanging purposes, and they have theft protection keyholes as well. An AC adapter and cables are included.
