Matsushita develops PAL, SECAM, NTSC LSI

The LSI is o­ne chip that handles the world's three primary TV standards - PAL, SECAM, and NTSC.



Matsushita Electrical Industries Corporation has begun taking orders for the "ALGISTA 8," a o­ne-chip LSI that supports all of the world's analog transmission standards.

The ALGISTA 8 is a TV-use system LSI that supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM and also close captioning. There are four total products:

-MN101E02H(Supports all formats, with CC)
-MN101E04G(Supports all formats, no CC)
-MN101E11G(NTSC o­nly, supports PIP)
-MN101E13G(NTSC o­nly, does not support PIP)

Also, the internal firmware is upgradeable, meaning that if new image quality technologies emerge, this chip and be suited for each environment. It also supports OSD, and close captioning.
