Panasonic is plopping down the "P702iD" for NTT DoCoMo on August 31st. More information on this handset inside.
The "P702iD" is a FOMA handset from Panasonic Mobile Communications designed in collaboration with Taku Satou, a graphic designer. It features "Hikari Drops," an LED illumination pattern on the front of the handset with 128 different gradations. 10 different patterns are available for these Hikari Drops.
Some other nice fetures include SD-Audio support (thanks in part to the miniSD card slot with support for cards as large as 2GB), Chaku Uta Full playback (a first for DoCoMo's 7 series), and a 2.2" screen with a 240 x 320 dot resolution. The external display is a 96 x 25 OLED, and the camera is a 1.3MP CMOS shooter. The handset comes in two different shapes, with each shape being available in two colors: Square White, Square Black, Round Silver, and Round Gold.
