Here's a new 7" widescreen DVD player from Hitachi with a few added bonuses like an FM radio, TV tuner, and alarm function.
HItachi Living Supply Corporation will release the "DVL-7TV" 7" widescreen LCD TV with integrated DVD player in late March. It is Open Price, and it is estimated to cost around 39,800 yen.
This is an LCD analog TV that features a 7" widescreen LCD panel with a resolution of 480 x 234. It weighs about 1.1kg, and contains functions such as a DVD player, FM radio, clock, and alarm, so it is intended to be used in a bedroom or in the kitchen. It is not water resistant. The tuner supports terrestrial analog and CATV.
The DVD player, in addition to DVD-Video, can play videos that are recorded on DVD-R. It also supports the playback of Audio CDs, as well as CD-R/RW discs that have MP3s and JPEGs recorded on them.
There is one coaxial digital jack for audio output, as well as a stereo mini headphone output. It also features one Composite video and analog audio input. There are two speakers on the unit, so it has a maximum audio output of 0.5W x 2ch.
Power is supplied by the included AC adapter, it it will use about 13W of power (1.8W while idle). The dimensions are 268 x 96 x 176mm (W x D x H). A remote control is included.
