This week's Crash involves a phone getting dunked in some post-snow puddles.
Victim Taro of Tokyo
Scene of Accident A railway crossing in my neighborhoid
Broken Item au A5505SA
Details of Accident After I got home from a long day at my part time job, I noticed that my phone wasn't in its usual place: the right pocket of my pants. I quickly went back to the road I used to get home, and there I found my precious phone atrociously broken. In fact, since it was the day after it snowed, it was submerged in water.
Repair Costs I thought I'd have to change handsets, but apparently it can be repaired. It took 5,250 yen.
More from the Contributor I went to the au Shop to see if they could get the data out of it, but since the phone couldn't even turn on, they couldn't do it. I had backed up my address book about a month ago, so I was able to avoid the terrible situation that results when you lose the contact information of all your friends, but all of the pictures I had taken until now are gone forever. Phones are delicate devices we carry with us every day. I also came to understand that normal data backups are something that are very important.
