Four days and two soggy phones later, Taku is having some problems.
Victim Taku of Hyogo Prefecture
Scene of Accident In front of my friend's house, and in my house's living room
Broken Item Vodafone V601SH and au W33SA
Details of Accident On January 15th, I went to my friend's house by bike. I received an email in from of his house, but when I went to look at by taking my V601SH out of my pocket, it slipped and fell into the gutter. The power was still on, so I backed stuff up to the memory card, removed the battery, and I warmed it up on my friend's table heater until I went home. Speaking of which, when I got home, I tried turning it on, but it didn't work. I took it into the shop, and they told me it would be cheaper to get a new handset than it would be to repair this one.
I figured I'd change to au, so I cancelled my V601SH contract and got a W33SA for au.
On January 19th, I was drinking some coffee in my living room while I was messing with my W33SA. I thought I'd go to the bathroom, and took my phone in my hand, but decided that it'd be safer to leave it as I didn't want to drop it in the john. But when I got back from the bathroom, my parents had spilled my coffee, and on my new phone! I tried to rescue my phone quickly, but it was too hot so ended up taking a dive in my coffee cup.
Repair Costs 2,700 yen contract cancellation fee + 27,000 yen cost of W33SA + ??? repair cost
More from the Contributor ....it turns on. But doesn't actually do anything. I'm thinking about going to the shop tomorrow. So early in the new year, two handsets in 1 week...
