BTee Music Bluetooth earphones for new au handsets

Up next is the "BTee Music" earphone set from Kaga Electronics. These are Bluetooth earphones intended to be hung from the neck, so the company is calling them "pendant style."

Kaga Electronics will release the "BTee Music" Bluetooth earphones as a new product in their "TAXAN" brand. They will be released in early February were developed for use with au mobile phones. They are listed at Open Price, but the estimated retail cost is around 10,000 yen.

"BTee Music" are Bluetooth earphones that allow for enjoyment of Chaku Uta Full tracks once they are connected with an au handset. Since they can be hung about the neck, Kaga explained that they are "pendant-style." They conform to Bluetooth 1.1, but were developed jointly between KDDI, Toshiba, and Yamaha, and use an exclusive profile. The supported files are MPEG-4 HE AAC and Chaku Uta Full. At the time of this writing, the only mobile phone that supports these is Toshiba's "W41T."

The size is 37 x 77.5 x 14mm, and the weight 48g. A stereo mini jack is provided, and the internal lithium ion battery should last for about 8 hours. Hands-free talking is not provided.
