To go with the new au handsets that support Bluetooth [1], there are a number of products so you can enjoy your "LISMO [2]" songs wirelessly. The first (of four) is the "NX-A01" speaker set from Yamaha.

Yamaha will release the "NX-A01" speaker unit and "TRX-R01BT" Bluetooth unit with Chaku Uta Full support in mid-February, which were developed on cooperation with KDDI. Each is Open Price, but the estimated retail price of the "NX-A01" is under 13,000 yen, and the "TRX-R01BT" around 14,000 yen. It will be available at both volume sellers and au shops.

The "NX-A01" is a speaker unit with square body design of 9cm in each direction. It features two 3cm titanium oscillation panels and contains a digital amplifier, and also contains "Swing Radiator Bass" low-frequency playback technology developed by Yamaha. This feature allows for strong audio playback, even with its small size. It has a frequency response from 90Hz to 20kHz. It is furnished with a stereo mini jack, so that it can be connected to digital audio players such as the iPod, as well as mobile phones. It measures 84 x 89 x 84mm, and weighs 310g.

To go along with this product is the "TRX-R01BT," a Bluetooth unit that connects to the NX-A01. It features an MPEG-4 HE AAC decoder, a format specialized for Chaku Uta Full, and it conforms to Bluetooth 1.1. It uses the indepent protocol that only au handsets support for audio data handling, and au has stated that their new "W41T" handset is supported. This unit measures 45 x 46 x 45mm, and weighs about 50g.
