Take a look at these pictures of one of the newest phones to hit the market.

WX310SA (Progressive Red)

Button Layout. You can see it is uniquely designed, but the arrangement is orthodox. On the right side there is a Manners button for silencing the ringer.

The camera is on the reverse-side of the display. On the side, there is a macro conversion switch. It's equipped with a mini-SD cardslot on the hinge.

The default main menu uses an orthodox icon launcher style. The setup menu and other 2nd level menus have a list style display. The customizable MyMenu.

The main menu can be changed. There are 3 pre-sets for the main menu design. The accessory menu has all kinds of utility functions.

16-dot font display (full-width 14 chars X 17 lines). Because alphabet characters are a proportional font, the width varies according to the characters. 20-dot font display (full-width 11 chars X 13 lines). 24-dot font display (full-width 9 chars X 11 lines).

The Japanese input system with predictive conversion is Advanced Wnn V1.2 It comes loaded with a full browser, NetFront v3.3. The display magnification and display mode can be switched. 9 thumbnail images can be displayed.

In the camera mode, the resolution can be switched from vertical to horizontal for photographing. Here is the vertical mode. And here is the horizontal mode. A sub-menu of the camera mode.

A look at the specifications of the WX310SA

Sanyo Electric's Willcom terminal. With features such as a full browser, POP email, the Willcom terminal's other standardized functions, it is also capable of Willcom's first Java Contents for mobile phones.

The full browser is not Opera which is used by phones like the WX310K. Instead it is NetFront v3.3 made by a company called ACCESS. The communication system is handled by the 32k/64k PIAFS and the 1x/4x Willcom packet system. It comes with POP3 and SMTP capable email.

It's loaded with JV-Lite2 by ACCESS for the runtime environment based on the standardized MIDP 2.0 Java for mobile applications. There's also a function for displaying PC files such as Word, Excel, and PDF.

The 1.3 million pixel camera has CMOS. It can take still images up to a resolution of 1280x960 dpi and has a macro focus with a manual 2x enlargement. It takes a mini-SD memory card. There is also a QR code reading function.

The Japanese input system is the Advanced Wnn v1.2. Roaming ability is also possible in places like Taiwan and Thailand.
