Our buds at IO Data Device Corporation are releasing 4GB and 8GB USB flash memory devices. I'd call them hard drive replacements, but the price prevents me from doing so.
IO Data Device Corporation will release the 8GB "ToteBag GRANDE (TB-GR8G)" USB flash memory and 4GB "EasyDisk Platinum (EDP2-4G)" USB flash memory in late November. The price of the ToteBag GRANDE is 144,900 yen, and the EasyDisk Platinum2 is 78,750 yen.

The EDP2-4G is the largest capacity of the company's high speed drive lineup. It features a read speed of 22MB/sec, and a write speed of 13MB/sec. Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000, XP, as well as Mac OS 9.0 ~ 9.2.2, and Mac OS X 10.1 ~ 10.4.2.
