The D-NE830 and D-NE730 are both CD Walkmans that can play ATRAC/MP3 files, but the D-EJ002 isn't. I'm still going to write about it. Sony will release nine models across 3 types of CD Walkman on November 10th that feature digital amplifiers and high quality headphones. They are all Open Price; the estimated retail price of the "D-NE830" that uses aluminum paneling on its case is around 15,000 yen, the "D-NE730" that will be available in 4 colors is 10,500 yen, and the "D-EJ002" "basic model" is 5,000 yen. -D-NE830/730 Both are portable CD players that have digital amplifiers. They support the playback of ATRAC3plus and MP3 files that are stored on CD-R/RW, as well as 22 play modes, programmed play for up to 66 tracks, and "G-PROTECTION" skip protection. The D-NE830 will be available in Blue and Silver, and the D-NE730 in Silver, Blue, Pink, and Black. The difference between the two types are that the D-NE830 uses aluminum paneling and includes higher quality headphones. The rechargeable battery also differs -- the D-NE830 will see about 40 hours of ATRAC3plus playback time, while the D-NE730 will see 28 hours. When using the rechargeable battery in conjunction with Alkaline dry cells, the D-NE830 will get 105 hours of playback, and the D-NE730 90 hours. Also, while the included remote control of the D-NE830 supports the display of Kanji characters, that of the NE730 supports only English. The external dimensions of the D-NE830 are 135.8 x 17.4 x 136mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 203g. Respectively, the D-NE730 is 135.8 x 18.6 x 136.1mm (same) at 196g.
