Keian hard drive player with NAS function

Here we are, a media playing hard drive case that has a nice feature: the ability to function through Network Attached Storage.

Keian announced the "KMC01 Media Cube" o­n the 12th, a hard drive media player that features NAS functionality. It is Open Price.

The KMC01 is a hard drive player that doesn't include a hard drive, and supports the playback of DivX, AVI, MOV, and ASF videos, as well as MP3 and WMA (Ver 8) audio files. 2.5" IDE hard drives are meant to be inside, and the FAT32 formatting standard is supported.

S-Video and Analog D-Sub are available as output interfaces, and the case itself can play the media files of the hard drive that is inserted into it. It supports both USB 2.0 connection and network connection, and can be used as a Network Attached Storage device, so it can access shared files within a network. It also features a SD/MMC media reader, and can play files from the these respective cards.

The size of the unit is 98 x 135 x 32mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 280g. Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000 Professional, and XP.
