A helmet as a mouse? A wireless helmet mouse? Oh SolidAlliance, what won't you turn into a peripheral?

SolidAlliance Corporation released the "DTM AMG-MERCEDES JEAN ALESI model" wheel mouse shaped like a helmet. Its price is 12,600 yen. Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000, and XP, as well as Mac OS 9.0 and above, and Mac OS X.

The mouse is a 1/5 scale model that is "a faithful reproduction down to the subtle curves" of Jean Alesi's helmet. It has its own serial number, and worldwide production is limited to 4,999 units. The usage of the "Three Pointed Star" and "AMG" logos are licensed.

The sesnor is optical, and it has a resolution of 800dpi. It uses the 2.4GHz wireless band, and has a range of about 5 meters. The battery is lithium ion. A USB charge cord is included as is a USB adapter, and recharging can be done via either USB or AC adapter.

A USB wireless receiver and pouch are also included.
