Hold on to your books when running, or better yet, your PDA.

Victim
ENGINIA_Mx5100 of Aichi Prefecture

Scene of Accident
Stairs at school

Broken Item
NTT DoCoMo Sigmarion III

Details of Accident
I put my sigmarion III and its accessories in my soft case, and put it on top of my books as I ran down some stairs to get to class (I was late, what can I say). But I was in too much of a rush, and my book flew out of my hand -- of course the sigmarion III and soft case also went flying, and the the soft case landed with a "bang", sunny-side down.

As I timidly took a look at what was inside my soft case, my CD-ROM and floppy drive were fine, but my sigmarion III had landed on its screen. The touch panel kicked the bucket, and the LCD panel's glass was completely broken.

Repair Cost
Around 35,000 yen

More from the Contributor
This event took place 3 weeks after my LCD was repaired. A friend of mine who was with me when the accident occurred had a bizarre expression on his face; I couldn't tell if he was happy the thing broke or if he was worried about it. I just laughed and said "damn, broke it again," but deep down inside, I was wondering what I would do... my sigmarion III is a must-have device. Maybe this is God telling me that middle schoolers such as myself don't need mobile devices.

Since the LCD itself is not broken, I'll probably just use it as-is for a while. I haven't told my dad about it yet. I wonder what I should say...
