If you've ever wanted to use your phone while in the tub but was afraid to because of the water, you're in for a treat. Ishizaki Materials has a new waterproof soft case so that you can use your phone anywhere around water, including the bathtub.

Ishizaki Materials has begun sale of the "Aqua Talk Flex Plastype 'Phone even in the Bathroom,'" a waterproof softcase intended for use with mobile phones. It costs 441 yen.

The "Aqua Talk Flex Plastype 'Phone even in the Bathroom'" is a soft case that protects mobile phones against water damage. Ishizaki states its intended usage is in the bathroom. The case is made of a nylon and polyethylene multilayer film. Ishizaki, who typically deals in making pressure-sealed bags for storing futons, applied the same technology to produce this product. When compared to the sealed bags such as those that are sold at traditional supermarkets, the Ishizaki case has a stiff piece to protect against water from getting in the opening, and because it has a thickness of 95 microns (0.095mm), allows for easy operation and hearing of the phone.

Ishizaki will also be releasing the "Phone even outdoors or on the work site" soft case, intended for outdoor scenes. Its price will be 399 yen.
