Sanyo and Rayovac have announced a partnership to push Rayovac's new "IC-3" (In-Cell Charge Control) NiMH batteries, which recharge in as little as 15 minutes.
I can feel the warm, international cooperation fuzziness already.

No mention of dual layer though, which IMO is in greater demand than faster writing speeds.

Sanyo will add two new color variations to the "DMX-C1" model, which was released back in November of 2003. The two new colors are black and red.
