A company called "Tec" has announced four semi-interesting USB products:
- USB Hub Wheel W
- USB Senpuuki Mist W
- USB Speaker Tower W
- USB Speaker Cube W
Tec will release four USB products mid-April. They are the "USB Hub Wheel W" USB hub, the "USB Senpuuki Mist W" USB fan, "USB Speaker Tower W" USB speaker/light, and "USB Speaker Cube W" USB speaker/hub. All products are part of the company's new "Boynq" brand. The price of the USB Hub Wheel W is 2,500 yen, the USB Senpuuki Mist W is 2,100 yen, the USB Speaker Tower W is 4,500 yen, and the USB Speaker Cube W is 6,825 yen.
-USB Hub Wheel W
The USB Hub Wheel W is a 4-port USB hub that supports USB 2.0. The cable part is a hand-wound cable, so when the panel is rotated, the cable can be stored inside of the housing (translator's note: like a garden hose). It has a body size of 93 x 35 x 87mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 90g. Windows 98 and above is supported, as is Mac OS 8.6 and above.
-USB Senpuuki Mist W
The USB Senpuuki Mist W is a USB fan operating by bus power. In the middle of the blades is a backlit logo plate. The stand features a bendable wire so the unit can be put into any position and stand on its own. The fan blades themselves use a soft material to prevent injury. The body size is 400 x 28 x 887 (W x D x H, including stand). It weighs about 60g. Windows 98 and above is supported, as is Mac OS 8.6 and above.
-USB Speaker Tower W
The USB Speaker Tower W is a unique looking USB speaker shaped like a tower. The treble speaker is placed at the top of the unit, and the bass at the bottom, so the unit can cover 360 degrees in all directions. The top portion also features a light, so it can be used as an interior light as well. The unit size is 77 x 77 x 208mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 265g. Windows 98 and above is supported, as is Mac OS 8.6 and above.
-USB Speaker Cube W
Finally, the USB Speaker Cube W is a cube-shaped USB speaker with integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub. on the front portion are controls for volume, bass and treble, and an internal lamp lights up the areas around these dials. The unit is 101 x 100 x 101mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 485g. Windows 98 and above is supported, as is Mac OS 8.6 and above.
