Keeping with the success of novelty USB memory devices such as the SushiDisk and iDuck, SolidAlliance has introduced the "FoodDisk" line. Three models will be available: shuumai (steamed meat dumpling), ebi fry (fried shrimp) and takoyaki (octopus dumpling).

SolidAlliance announced on the 17th the release of their "localized" USB memory series, the "FoodDisk." Sales have already started at their online store, the SolidAlliance-Store.
Three models will be available in the lineup: "Yokohama" shuumai, "Nagoya" ebi fry and "Osaka" takoyaki. Each has a 128MB capacity. Though listed at Open Price, the price on the SolidAlliance-Store for the shuumai and takoyaki models 8,200 yen, and for the ebi fry model, 9,800 yen.
The food samples are provided by "Satou Sample," just like the previously released "sushi shaped USB memory."
The three products, according to SolidAlliance, "are a USB memory specialty with affinity." They did not specify exactly what the affinity is towards. It is easy to understand the practicality of the shuumai and takoyaki because of their shape, but the ebi fry...
