Coming up with cheap products seems to the new "thing" for Japan, as Green House this week introduces the "GH-PDV700." It's a portable DVD player, but offers quite a bit of bang for the buck -- a 7" LCD and 2.5 hour battery life for 24,800 yen.
Green House Corporation will release the "GH-PDV700," a portable DVD player with a 7" widescreen LCD, in late February. Open Price, but who cares? Estimates say it's 24,800 yen.
Here's a portable DVD player with a 7"/16:9 widescreen LCD. It can play DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW (Video Mode), Audio CD, and MP3 files stored on CD-R/RW. It also features an AV output jack.
A NiMH battery pack is included, allowing for a continuous playback time of about 2.5 hours. A car cigarette lighter adapter is included in addition to the standard AC adapter, so it can also be used as a car DVD player. The external dimensions are 191 x 150 x 39mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 625g. An AC adapter, car adapter, AV in/output cable, carrying back, remote control, etc. are included.
