Tu-ka proves they're not going to go quietly, with the introduction of the TT51. While certainly not as feature-packed as other handsets we've recently reported on, I'm sure it's still better than anything we have here in America
The Tu-Ka Group will release the "TT51" handset, a Toshiba-made handset with a 2.2" QVGA LCD, in the first part of March. It is Open Price.
The "TT51" is an EZweb handset made by Toshiba, which has a QVGA size LCD and large buttons. Its main display is a 2.2" TFT LCD capable of displaying 240 x 320 dots of 260,000 color, and its subdisplay is a 1 inch, 112 x 112 dot, 65,000 color TFCC LCD. on the back of the handset lies a 0.31MP CMOS camera.
A function called "Simple Menu" allows functions to be called based on the method of contact -- for example, if you want to contact someone by mail, choose the "mail" option. The "My Number" function also allows frequently contacted parties to be easily accessed for communication.
"Mobile Rupo" provides text input services. The ten-key, like au's A5509T, has large buttons with a square design. The data folder size is 2MB. Also included is an "Easy Manual" that introduces the phone's functionality with illustrations and such.
The continuous idle time is 400 hours, and the continuous talk time is about 120 minutes. Recharging takes about 120 minutes. With dimensions of 48 x 93 x 22mm, the handset weighs about 102g. Silver, pink, and black body colors will be available.
