Sony offers up an excuse for me to buy a new set of headphones: the "MDR-NQ1" will be released on February 10th. They're "neckstrap type," and available in four colors. More details inside.
Sony will release the "MDR-NQ1" neckstrap-type ear hanging headphones on February 10th. Four color variations are in the lineup: Silver & White (-S), Black and Gray (-B), Pink & White (-P), and Blue & Silver (-L). Each comes with a set of two different colored exchangeable caps, and is priced at 3,675 yen.
The MDR-NQ1 are "neckstrap-type" ear-hanging earphones that allow a portable audio device to be hung from the neck. When not in use, the headphone cord can also be secured with the use of a slider gizmo.
A 300kj/m3 negative Neosium magnet is used as a driver. Sony has said "it can reproduce clear medium and high tones, as well as phat bass." (Ok, they didn't really say "phat," but you could translate "thick" as phat, right? Right?)
