Our buddies over at Optware are coming yet closer to bringing a HVD product to market. A company called "Ecma" is now working with them to standardize three media types: Holographic Versatile Disc cartridges (200GB), read-only Holographic Versatile Discs (100GB), and Holographic Versatile Cards (30GB). Needless to say, I'm excited to see holographic storage finally become a reality. If you'd like to read more of TechJapan's coverage of Optware's holographic storage media, click the Optware logo appearing to the right of this text. Otherwise, click the image below for the English press release.
