The CRASH! is back in full force after a short vacation, and this edition hits almost too close to home: a Zaurus SL-C860 fell out of the contributor's pocket after he stood up from the Porcelain God.

Victim:
Mr. Parsley of Saitama Prefecture
Scene of Accident:
A certain toilet
Broken Item:
Sharp Zaurus SL-C860
Details of Accident:
While sitting on the john, I had been using my SL-C860 a little bit, then made the mistake of putting it in my fleece pocket. After I was done doing my business, as I went to stand up, the SL-C860 came flying out of my pocket, and when tumbling to the ground. It didn't look like anything with just a glimpse, but when I opened it up, the LCD was damaged.
Damage Amount:
28,745 yen for repairs
More from the Contributor:
I used it for a little bit because everything worked perfectly besides the screen, but unable to endure it any longer, I got it repaired. My biggest regret is not doing the fastener on my fleece pocket. ...Or you may even say I shouldn't have been using it while on the toilet...hmm.

ha ha ha. This one makes me smile and chuckle out loud, because my wife just over a week ago was also on the john, she flushed, got up and heard her cell phone drop (AudioVox 5600). She looked around ... nowhere was it to be found! Nowhere that is - until the plumber pulled it out of the toilet on new years day! Yup. cell phone looked to be dead. The screen looked good, but the edges were really scuffed up. The SIM card, miniSD card, and battery are working perfectly in her new 5600. The cell phone I let dry out for 4 days, then tried to turn it on. The lights came on for a second or so, then it died, has not blinked since. _Stealthy |
