Relive the grand fighting-game days of yesteryear with the "Neo Geo Stick 2," a Neo Geo controller being introduced to the modern audience by Sega Logistics Service.
And by "modern audience" we mean compatibility with PS2.
Sega Logistics Service (Headquarters: Ohta, Tokyo) announced on the 22nd that they would reissue the "Neo Geo Stick 2" controller, a "Neo Geo" console-like controller for the Playstation 2. Sales will be conducted online, at electronics vendors, and local shops. The price is 6,090 yen (including tax). It will be released on February 17th, 2005.
This product is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of SNK Playmore's (Headquarters: Suita, Osaka) "The King of Fighters" series of fighting games. It is being reissued in cooperation with Sega Logistics, SNK Playmore, and Exar (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo).
It is a faithful reproduction of the original controller, whose primary characteristic was to give the same control feeling of an arcade game. Four buttons have been added to go with the PS2, making a total of eight. It does not support analog control or vibration functionality. The main unit's size is 280 x 195 x 85mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 1.2kg.
