A pretty unremarkable voice recorder from Sharp. At least they include a telephone adapter so that you can record your phone conversations. Might come in handy in the battle against those nasty telemarketers!

Sharp will release the "PA-VR10", a digital voice recorder capable of up to 28 hours continuous recording, on 18 December. The recorder has 64MB of flash memory and recorded data can be transferred to a PC using any commercially-available USB cable. It is priced at 17,850 yen (including tax).

Recordings can be made at 3 levels of sound quality - HQ Mode (approx. 4 hours), SP Mode (approx. 8.5 hours) and LP Mode (approx. 28 hours). Via the use of a 4.8kbps recording rate and 23mm diameter speaker, sound distortion and noise are supressed to make listening easier. The microphone can be switched between two levels of sensitivity. Other features include time-stamping, program recording, message alarm and event marking.

Using two AA alkaline batteries, approximately 8 hours recording or 6 hours playback is possible. Using an included telephone adapter, telephone conversations can also be recorded. The recorder has dimensions of W31 x D111 x H16.8 mm and weighs approximately 66 grams.
