iPod + Car = 0 songs in your pocket ...

Victim:
Betty from Kanagawa Prefecture
Scene of Accident:
Local Road
Broken Item:
Apple Computer iPod
Details of Accident:
I'd finished my crappy part-time job and, feeling quite relieved, was on the way home on my scooter. The iPod was in my bag and secured to the tandem seat with a net. While I was weaving in and out of traffic, there was this strange sound from behind..?! I turned around to see what is was and there was my iPod tumbling down the road.
I slammed on the brakes and quickly went to retrieve it but it was already too late - a car coming from behind ran over it .....
Damage Amount:
The next day, I checked Apple Computer's website and it looks like the repair will cost about 28,000 yen. Maybe I'll just buy an iPod Mini .....
More from the Contributor:
At the time I bought my iPod, not many accessories (cases etc) for the 4th generation iPod had been released so I just used it without putting it inside a case - I think that contributed to the damage. Well, whichever way you like at it, being run-over by a car is pretty serious (laughs). I was surprised at the level of damage though, regardless of whether it was run-over or not. I bought it soon after they went on sale and had only been using it for about two months ....

He didn't say whether or not it still worked. What do you think? |

Since she wanted i repaired I doubt it... plus if it still worked there would be pictures :). I've had an ipod run over and it looked _allot_ worse than this. It was crushed. But almost nay drop without osme kind of case can guarantee hdd damage, especially a dorp form a scooter. |
