Shit, 1TB of video? Sign me up.
Optware appears to be a pioneer of holographic storage technology. Good on them.

Optware Corporation announced on the 23rd, that they have for the first time in the world, successfully recorded and read video onto a reflective holographic optical disc using the company's "colinear" system holographic technology.

Though there have been examples of recording/playing page data on holographic discs, these discs were basically transparent, and their properties varied greatly from current optical discs.

Optware, keeping with the construction processes of today's optical discs, applied a reflective membrane to the disc. The disc, which was preformatted, was recorded using Optware's colinear optical system (consisting of both reference laser and signal laser).

One of the problems that arose with this preformatted recording system, however, was that the address information would cause dispersion noise (of the signal) during recording and playback, which deteriorated the quality of the signal. To combat this, Optware introduced a wavelength selection membrane to the media, making for an ideal holographic recording media using this colinear system.

Optware held private screenings of this technology to 6 domestic investors and 8 foreign investors between July 8th and 12th. Details of the technology will be presented at the "Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research" exhibition schedule to take place in Paris on September 16th and 17th.

Cmon, I'm sure they could have thought of a better name than THAT.
