As you can see, there's not much news tonight. So I've got a question for you.

Japanese people must love statistics, because there's plenty available o­nline.
What I'm wondering is if you, the TechJapan visitor, would be interested in this sort of content.

There's plenty of weekly rankings available, such as:

but there's also sales data, extended lists of product release dates, and so forth. I got an e-mail from a user in last week, and he requested some data o­n phone number distributions for Japanese cell carriers. What's even weirder is how it o­nly took me like 5 minutes to find what he was looking for.

I think you get the point. Translating this information probably wouldn't take much effort o­n my part, but I'm just wondering if it would be useful to you guys at all. I mean I could go to town o­n it, by reporting o­n the trends of the market with Excel spreadsheets and all that, or I could just keep a static link (like something called "Statistics" o­n the Main Menu) with a page that I just update every week. I *guess* this would prove to be a good resource, but hey, that's what I thought about the encyclopedia too.
